Dear OLG Families,
At today's All-School
Word & Communion
Service the 6th grade (with their 1st grade buddies) challenged us all to find ways we can Grow in the Light of Christ together... tomorrow is our "first Friday"
OLG Spirit Wear day, so remind your student to wear their CYO/Bulldog/Uniform proudly tomorrow, and be in community together.
Auction Week and we're almost there! Thank you for your online bids... now its time for the LIVE event! We do still have a few walk-up tickets available. To make sure there is a ticket still available at the door, RSVP directly to the
school office tomorrow! Thank you in advance to Sandra Watson, the amazing procurement team, and all of
you for helping make this an amazing night! We're going to have a great event, and of course, raise some money to support our staff and student learning at the same time!
Schedule change reminder:
Friday,
March 15th (originally set aside for a regional inservice day)
is now a
full
,
regular
school day for all grades.
Continue to put in your
nominations for the
OLG Distinguished Educator Award! This annual award recognizes one teacher or staff member for excellence in education here at Our Lady of Guadalupe. Recognize an individual who stands out in your child’s life and makes a significant positive difference through his or her educational ministry. The award recipient receives a stipend for summer travel and professional development, pledging to return and share the experience with their classroom and school.
Anyone may nominate a teacher or staff member. Nominations are accepted online (
here) and deadline for nominations is by our
State of the School meeting on
March 13th, so don’t delay!
Lent begins on next Wednesday on March 6th. There are three Ash Wednesday services offered that day (including the 9am
all-school service). If I don't see you at Auction, I hope to see you on Wednesday :)

Change of Date for our Vacation Bible Camp Coming in a Week!
We have just learned on February 26th, that The Seattle School District has changed their last day of school to be June 27th, due to making up snow days this year. As a result, we are going to change our vacation bible camp schedule, to insure, that all our families can participate. Please look for our posting of our new date for ROAR Life is Wild – God is Good, next week, which will be in our
bulletin, on our
web site, and our
face book page. It is our hope that this new date will accommodate our families.
