Dear OLG Families,
Last weekend members of the School Commission and I had the pleasure of conversations with parishioners sharing input to our
School Strategic Plan (updating the old
Vision 2018). Two more dates are also on our our school calendar for February 7th and March 21st to help us write our new
Vision 2025. One continuing theme we've heard already in this process is the incredible sense of gratitude for our wonderful teaching staff. To support the work we do takes commitment to our mission, and I see that in all of you.
As school families you have many opportunities to support our mission and
Grow in the Light of Christ together. One fun way to do that is Saturday's
Trivia Night (no Seahawk playoff games, so go and have fun)! Or attend the
Auction!! Or
refer another family to join OLG School and invite them to our open house Jan 27th!!! Or simply assist your child in inviting a
Special Person to school on Jan 31st. So many choices and much more as you read on!
I also wanted to highlight an important milestone... we are over 50% of our goal for the School Fund Drive! Thank you to our many pledges so far. We have our special
Day of Giving coming on Tuesday of Catholic Schools week; we are currently compiling matching gifts for that day and would love to finish our Fund Drive campaign by the end of this month!
Finally, as you march, or trivia, or eat pancakes, or whatever you do the next few days, I hope you take a moment to ask your children about the reason we have a long weekend. Is it for community? Is it for remembering the movements of the past, or is it to enact change in our world today?
What are you called to do?

Yours in Christ,
Anton Kramer
