Dear OLG Families,
As we near the half-way point of the year, I'm happy to report that our accreditation self-study is right on track and at the half-way point of completion! Last week Mrs. Sommerville, Ms. Sedivy, Ms. Savio and I spent some time with other teachers in our region working on our accreditation self-study plan. We also learned from others the best practices for using our staff professional learning time together. We'll be using tomorrow's noon-dismissal day to put some of these practices to work and continue on our path to completing the self-study by the end of this school year. Our School Commission and Parent Org. have entered into the accreditation process as well, and all families will have opportunities for input and clarifications in our next.
Speaking of input, thank you everyone who has completed
your
Intent to Return
. If for some reason that email didn't get to your family, please use the link
here. This is a great way to help guide our staffing, enrollment, and budget decisions as we roll into our
Open House this Sunday! We look forward to seeing you at one of our weekend Masses, or swinging by the open house between 9am and 1pm on Sunday.
Bring a friend, or simply drop by your child's classroom to see their work and swing up to the next grade to chat with their upcoming teacher! Catholic Schools' week is upon us and there is a lot to see and do!

Day of Service 2020: Westside Baby
Save the Date for the Day of Service on Saturday,
March 28
. With 18 projects to choose from, you may need more information! This week's featured project is
WestSide Baby
, a project directly connected to our parish and school service projects through donations and fundraising! Curious about where all the donations go? Just down the street in neighboring White Center, WSB partners with over 120 social service agencies to provide children of all ages with clothes, diapers and toys. On the Day of Service, volunteers will tour the facility, get a program overview, sort donations, and prepare orders for children in our community. This project is for ages 8 and up.
