Dear St. Alphonsus Families,
We hope you are staying warm in this cold weather today! We do have a few snow days built into our calendar each year so that we do not have to have makeup days at the end of the year.
In the meantime, I am getting ready for our 2026-2027 school year enrollment, which will start on February 2! We will have a Registration Form for current families out to you soon and we encourage everyone to enroll early! This year, we will ask each family to submit a $75 registration fee per family to secure your spots, which will then be applied to your tuition in the fall. We will be sending out Registration Forms in the next week or so and we will have plenty of reminders for you!
In addition, I am hosting a School Choice Night on Thursday, February 5. These will be private and confidential meetings for all families who are interested in applying for school choice financial aid through the Wisconsin Parental Choice Program. I can review the paperwork required with you, answer questions you may have, and discuss your options as it relates to this program. Please see the flyer above for more details, and email me at msagat@st-alphonsus.org if you would like to meet with me or if you have any questions about School Choice.
Here are some other reminders for the week:
-
The sign up for the Catholic Schools Week Talent Show has been extended until the end of the day tomorrow, Tuesday, January 20. We also added more details and yes, parents will be invited to attend! Once we know how many acts we have, we will adjust the timing and share that accordingly. Please check out more information below.
-
STAR Reports will go home this Friday, January 23. Please contact your child's homeroom teacher for any questions.
- Tomorrow, Tuesday, January 20 is the field trip to the opera for grades 4K to 2nd! Please remember to pack them a cold lunch for tomorrow, as they will return to school after our regular lunch period.
-
Friday, January 23 is also our next pizza lunch fundraiser! No hot lunch, milk or ala carte are available on this day, so if your child did not order a pizza lunch, please be sure to send a cold lunch.
We cannot wait to see all of you at our Open House event this Sunday and we are so excited to spend next week celebrating our amazing Catholic School! Please be sure to check out all the information about Open House and Catholic Schools Week below.
Have a great week!

Crochet Service Project Opportunity
Something that is in high need for those who frequent meal programs and shower programs are soap sacks. These little sacks can have a dual purpose - one just a clean place to carry their soap AND/OR a washcloth.
We would like to invite St. Alphonsus children to have an opportunity to learn how to crochet these little bags. Please come February 22nd to Room 409 at 4:30pm.
We will have pizza for kids to eat as they will be there during the dinner hour. We will have enough supplies for the kids. If they have their own hooks and cotton yarn, however, they are welcome to bring them to this session.
If your son or daughter already knows how to crochet, they can still join us (and maybe even help us teach the others)! Or, if you would like, we can give you the pattern and you can make them at home and bring them to donate.
If your children are really interested in doing this but this day does not work, please reach out to Karen Farrell.
