Dear St. Alphonsus Families,
Well, here we are! We made it! Welcome to the last week of school. It has been such a pleasure working with your students all year, and we are so excited to see you all back in the fall.
The Leadership Team would like to extend our congratulations once again to the 8th Grade Graduating Class of 2024. We had a lovely Mass & ceremony on Saturday to send them off. We are so proud of you all and know you will do great things!
Quite a bit of housekeeping this week:
First, a note about the school office hours this summer! Our hours during the month of June will be 9:00am to 12:00pm. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The office will be closed for all of July and will re-open again in August. We will update you mid-summer regarding August office hours.
All tuition payments must be made by June 13, 2025. Please drop them off at school or pay online. If the office isn't open you may leave an envelope with your payment and name at the Parish office. The final Cougar Club billing will be done following this Friday, June 6, 2025 following the last Cougar Club session on Thursday evening. Those payments must be submitted by Friday, June 13, 2025--same as when the final tuition payment is due.
Speaking of online payments, we received a notice from our payment processor RevTrak that effective July 1, 2025, they are applying a $0.20 per transaction fee to clients on merchant service transactions (non-ACH) processed through our RevTrak. Please remember that online payments are never required--you may always pay via check or cash in the school office if you prefer.
Our school store will close briefly this week to end the current school year and then re-open for the new school year. Any school store orders placed this summer will be held for delivery until our Meet & Greet night on Thursday, August 21. We will remind you about ordering Mass polos, gym uniforms, etc. in our mid-summer newsletter!
As much as we're not wishing summer away, don't forget that you can order your school supplies online via our school supply partner! More details and a link to order are below. Orders must be placed by June 30.
Also make plans to join us this summer at the Milwaukee Milkmen game on Friday, July 18! School families usually end up sitting in sections 101, 102, and 103. You can find the link to order tickets below!
There is still a lot of information in this newsletter for these last few days, particularly for our Cougar Outdoor Extravaganza tomorrow. Please read these details thoroughly as there is specific information about carline. This year, we are also having a Dunk Tank, which is being delivered today! Please be mindful of the dunk tank as you drive through carline this afternoon and tomorrow.
Yearbooks are coming home this week. A limited number of yearbooks are available for sale on a first come, first serve basis for those parents who forgot to order and would still like one. They are $17 each, cash only and you must place your order by THURSDAY at the latest, as any remaining yearbooks will be picked up by the company on Friday. Please send your money in a labeled envelope with your child's name and grade, and mark the envelope YEARBOOK.
Friday is the last day of school. Please note that not only is this 10:00am Dismissal, but that it will also be the day of the last school Mass of the year. This means there is NOT a school Mass on Wednesday, June 4. Please make a note for your calendars. In addition, Friday is a DRESS UP day for students. Your student may dress up for Mass, or at a minimum, they need to wear their Wednesday Mass polo with uniform bottoms. NO JEANS, T-SHIRTS, OR ATHLETIC WEAR.
Please be sure to check out all the other great items in this week's newsletter, including a special message from Ms. Parey below. Again, it has been such a pleasure leading this school this year. We hope you all have wonderful, relaxing, & stress-free summers! See you in the fall!
Best regards,
Ms. Parey, Principal
Mrs. Schermetzler & Mrs. Bruhn, Leadership Team

Battle of the Books Returns This Fall!
When school resumes in the fall, we will again be inviting students in grades 4, 5, and 6 to participate in Battle of the Books!
Battle of the Books is a lively academic competition that improves reading comprehension, builds vocabulary, introduces students to new books & authors, and teaches teamwork, commitment, & sportsmanship. The program culminates in a tournament in April with other area Catholic Schools. It is a lot of fun!
If your child is interested in joining, they can get a head start by reading a few of the books from this list over the summer. These books will also count toward summer reading programs at area public libraries.
Happy reading!
Mrs. Bruhn & Mrs. Schermetzler

The New Family Committee is looking for volunteer mentor families!
Help us welcome new families to St. Alphonsus! This is a very low-key commitment and a great way to get your whole family involved at school. We ask mentor families to exchange contact information with new families so they can have someone to contact with questions, and all mentor & new families attend a social event to welcome them to the school in the fall. Your relationship with your mentor family can be as involved as you want it to be!
If interested, please contact Dawn Eisold.
