Principal's Letter
Dear OLG Families,

Happy Lent! We are in the 40 days of preparation for Easter. In school we will be recognizing this change of season with our school-wide prayers on Monday and Wednesday mornings. At home I encourage you to use one of the lenten reflection booklets from the church narthex. And on Sundays relive the dying and rising of Christ at each Mass. We are given these next 40 days to turn away from the things that distract us from our Christian call, and to grow towards a richer and more loving relationship with others and with Christ.

Help us clean-out our place: all the Auction items are ready for pickup at the main office. Missed coming to the Auction? Check-out our Auction webpage for updates and for an opportunity to give to the Fund-A-Need: Science for the Next Generation. Thank you to the generous donors who have already given for this great update to our curriculum!

Next week is Daylight Savings, State of the School, and more ! Continue to put in your nominations for the OLG Distinguished Educator Award! This annual award recognizes one teacher or staff member for excellence in education here at Our Lady of Guadalupe. Recognize an individual who stands out in your child’s life and makes a significant positive difference through his or her educational ministry. The award recipient receives a stipend for summer travel and professional development, pledging to return and share the experience with their classroom and school.

Anyone may nominate a teacher or staff member. Nominations are accepted online ( here) and deadline for nominations is by our State of the School meeting on March 13th, so don’t delay!
Yours in Christ,

Anton Kramer

Be Unafraid: Share the Journey with Migrants and Refugees
In 2017, Pope Francis launched the "Share the Journey" campaign to amplify the voice of welcome for migrants and refugees in our neighborhoods and communities. The “Be Unafraid” photo campaign provided stunning visuals and narratives that encapsulated this attitude. The end result of this campaign illustrates real stories of courage and the triumph of understanding over ignorance. To find out more, please visit  www.sharejourney.org.
