We're well underway with Summer planning and know many community members are making arrangements for child care, travel, employment, and all that Summer has in store. Please note the following dates for Summer 2023:
- Tuesday, March 28th – Summer Program and Event Information becomes available via the Summer Brochure and www.BristolRec.com
- Tuesday, April 11th – Registration Opens for Residents
- Tuesday, April 12th – Registration Opens for Non-Residents
Please note there are a few programs with differing registration dates.

Seeking nominations for the 31st Annual Youth and Prevention Leaders Awards!
We're teaming up with the Mayor's Office and BEST to recognize youth who have given exceptional service to the Bristol community. Nominations will be accepted for any Bristol youth and/or youth group that have made a meaningful contribution to their school, a service agency, and/or the community. Nominations accepted for Elementary through High School age youth.
Award recipients will be honored in front of friends, family, and neighbors at an annual ceremony held at Muzzy Field in May.

NEW this year - We're looking for nominations for our first ever All Heart Parks Advocate of the Year Award!
The Mayor's Office Bristol CT, the Department of Parks, Recreation, Youth & Community Services, and the Board of Park Commissioners will be recognizing a volunteer(s) in the community that has made significant contributions to improving the quality of the Bristol park system. The award recipient will be honored at the 2nd Annual Dinner on the Diamond Fundraiser on May 13, 2023 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at Muzzy Field.
The nomination deadline is 5:00 pm on Friday, March 31, 2023. Learn More

E.G. Stocks Playground is Now Open
We had an amazing time at the Grand Opening of Stocks Playground with the Mayor's Office, City Council, and Board of Park Commissioners! Thank you to all of the residents and community members who helped us cut the ribbon and explore the new equipment! Stocks playground is accessible via Middle Street or Lake Avenue.

We received over 350 valentines that were distributed to Bristol's nursing homes and assisted living facilities! Happy Valentine's Day! Letters were sent in from Bristol's schools and classrooms, troops, clubs, families, local organizations and countless community members - thank you!

Congratulations Splash Team
Congratulations to the Bristol Splash Swim Team, the 2022 – 2023 Connecticut Yankee Swim League Champions! The Splash team traveled to West Haven recently, where they placed ahead of ten other teams to cap off a long season of hard work. Great Job to all Splash Swimmers, Coaches, and the Bristol Splash Swim Team community!
