Our Lady of Guadalupe School fosters Gospel values, inspires academic excellence, and develops service and leadership. We face this as a sacramental community united and
sponsored by the Holy Spirit.

Dear OLG Families,
Thanksgiving is near, and our students and families have begun reflecting on giving thanks for all those who working so hard these days to keep us all safe and healthy. I am ever thankful for the remarkable staff and families here at OLG. Our tremendous volunteers who are preparing for the auction, for the CYO dinner, and for all the hands at work that makes our school special in so many little ways. Teachers and staff are making difficult choices this holiday to continue to be present and able to teach our students. Let us be thankful for the lives and loved ones we are able to be with, whether virtually or in-person this next week and weeks to come.We have family groups this morning where our 8th graders will be continuing this moment with our students.

|
We are in this together. Some schools in our area have already reverted to remote learning, but we know that comes at a cost in transition through both academics and stress in social/emotional turmoil. Our teachers are working hard on maintaining safe personal "bubbles" for themselves in order to continue to offer high level instruction to our children, but as the numbers continue to increase we are carefully reviewing community impact and implications on our programs each day. Thank you for doing everything in your families power to keep you, and our whole community safe.

Yours in Christ,
Anton Kramer

CYO Italian Dinner - Thank you!
2020 presented a huge challenge for the CYO Italian Dinner, but the parishioners and school families stepped up and made our Take Away dinner a smashing success. The Italian dinner is our biggest fundraiser and we want to thank you for supporting CYO.
Thank you to Paul Guest of Uncle Paulie’s Meatballs, and the Hein family - this event could not have been possible without this dedicated crew! They spent long hours in the kitchen making the delicious dinner then packing them up during a fast paced 2-hour pick up window. Thank you to the fabulous Silvia Casaburi for her heavenly cannoli. Thank you to the Dirks family for their generous wine donations. Thank you to our volunteer staff: John, Tina, Anthony & Matthew Hein, Rebecca Arcarese, Nikki Womac, Megan Kelley-Peterson, CYO Board Members (Dan Campbell, Dan Kelley-Peterson, Matthew Prociv, William Udall, Dan Womac, Jon Zetlmaier), Marc Christianson, Patty Flack, Kim Pankow, Nayara Prechtel, Wendy Neary, Colette Beherns, Enzo Angello, Father Kevin Duggan for his thoughtful prayer, the OLG staff, the Parish office, Robyn Campbell for her hard work, dedication, generosity and doing whatever was needed, and Dan Campbell for his relentless pursuit in making this dinner a resounding success. Our volunteers carried on and were calm during a cold and rainy night.
Thank you to our sponsors: Commercial Chemtech Inc., dkp counseling, The Matsushima Family, Pacific Rim Equipment Rental, Womac Law Firm, PLLC, and Zetlmaier Wealth Management.
CYO is all about building community. I am very proud to be a part of this giving family.

OLG’s Giving Tree is online this year and filled with tags for children in need at Sanislo Elementary and Catholic Housing Services’ Santa Teresita apartments.
Through the Giving Tree, parents at Santa Teresita receive gift cards for their children, offering them the joy of picking out the perfect gift. Sanislo tags list specific gifts the children have requested. This annual tradition, even more needed with the pandemic, helps us share God’s love with those who are struggling during the Christmas season.
-
Please “take a tag” by signing up on our website.
-
Return the gift on Dec 12 between 11am-3pm. You can also drop gifts at the church or Pastoral Center by Dec 13.
