Thank you to OLG's 5th grade class for the Over 65 Luncheon last Sunday
Mark your calendars: The next Over 65 Luncheon is March 29, 2020
Principal's Letter
Dear OLG Families,

Happy last full week of November. Tomorrow is the final day for "Early Bird" Auction Procurement! Some very exciting new items are arriving in the school office these past few weeks and I know the Auction Team is revving up to full speed. We're going to have an amazing event come February 29th, so make sure your family auction commitment is fulfilled early and you can sit back and relax!

Also note today is a special day for SCRIP with up to 21% back in bonus incentives. That big bonus, on top of the scrip class contest, means tonight is a good time to make some online orders or refill your gift cards!

Enough about that, I also wanted to point out the awesome service the 5th grade did this last weekend at the Over 65 Dinner! Mr. Casey and the fabulous families of 5th grade really made the event special and have loads of good ideas for the next meal. If you see a 5th grader, give them a big high-5!

Sunday is the Fair-Trade Sale & kick-off for the 3rd grade/PS/PK service project with Westside Baby, so put the Hawks game on pause and swing by for tasty treats!. Reminder that Wednesday is a half-day and enjoy the rest of the Thanksgiving Break!

Yours in Christ,

Anton Kramer

Over 65 Luncheon - Thank you!
Last Sunday was the fall Over 65 Luncheon hosted by the 5th grade class and it was a huge success. The students and their families prepared and served lunch to almost a hundred senior citizens from our community! Here’s one student’s take on the event:
I thought the event was fantastic! It made me feel a little bit uncomfortable because watching people eat can be kind of awkward but our service project met my expectations. My favorite memory from the event was the raffle because it was fun to hand out gifts to the seniors. I felt like Christ for others because I was helping out serving food and being kind. It was super fun!!

CYO News
CYO Italian Dinner - Thank you!
Last Saturday, OLG parishioners and families spent an evening in Italy at the Walmesley Center for CYO's Annual Italian Dinner. Guests enjoyed an evening full of laughter, dancing, photo bombing by Ms. Wilson, Ms. Savio, and Ms. Hobbs and some were lucky enough to win great raffle items, all while raising funds for CYO Athletics.

We would like to thank our sponsors Carso’s Pasta, Madrona Financial, Robinson Law Firm, Commercial Chemtech, West Seattle Runner, Pacific Rim Rentals, and everyone who attended (over 160 tickets were sold!).  Because of you CYO is the vibrant community ministry that we are today.  Your support helps CYO with updated equipment, new uniforms for our athletes, gym maintenance, subsidizing league fees, funding our scholar athlete award, and so much more!

Last year CYO was able to purchase the permanent lights for OLG’s annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony and for their annual upkeep.  A big shout out to Joe Malaspino and his kitchen crew as well as all our wonderful volunteers that made the evening so special.   Go Bulldogs!
