Happy Advent! We being this week after Thanksgiving with our weekly school-wide Advent celebrations... times and moments for giving and sharing thanks together. This week we focus on Hope. And there is much to hope for as we enter into this preparation season of Advent. This Monday at 9am is our first all school celebration of Advent.
On Tuesday, December 1, 2020 our school participates online in Giving Tuesday. Will you join us by sharing social media as we share our OLG community with the world on that day? You can share pictures with #OLGGivingTuesday and follow along on Facebook that day. If you have any pictures or videos of why you love OLG you can also email them to [email protected]. Thanksgiving family groups had our students and families reflecting on giving thanks for all those who working so hard these days to keep us all safe and healthy. I am ever thankful for the remarkable staff and families here at OLG. Our tremendous volunteers who are preparing for the auction, for the CYO dinner, and for all the hands at work that makes our school special in so many little ways. Teachers and staff are making difficult choices this holiday to continue to be present and able to teach our students. As a precaution our Preschool, PreK, and Kindergarten classes are remote these next two weeks. Let us be thankful for the lives and loved ones we are able to be with, whether virtually or in-person these next few week and the weeks to come.
