Dear OLG Families,
Happy
Veteran's Day weekend! Our fabulous 4th Grade class and choirs did a fantastic job on Wednesday reminding us all of the sacrifices and meaning of this special day. During this
Monday when school is closed, take time to encourage your child to thank a veteran, visit someone you know who served, or say a prayer to one who has passed away.
This weekend is also the wrap-up of our parish
Stewardship campaign. Our in-parish tuition reduction is based on the generosity of parish giving.
In-parish families, please prayerfully consider your support of parish life!
On the subject of gratitude,
thank you to all families and staff for making Fall Conferences go so well! It was great to see such valuable conversations and sharing taking place as we
Grow in the Light of Christ together. Our second scheduled conference times are set for Feb. 13th and 14th.
I also want to
thank our fabulous staff and volunteers who made our annual
Math Night last Tuesday a great success. Last week's newsletter shared great news of our 8th graders success at the Seattle Prep Math Games. That success begins in our youngest ages with parents and teachers together introducing math concepts in fun and engaging ways. Thank you Lisa Booth, Mrs. Lawler, and Ms. Savio, along with all the middle school helpers and all participants who made this a great evening!!!
Finally, I want to again recognize Mrs. Wilson, our fabulous 4th grade educator, for her dedication and service to education. As the most recent recipient of OLG's annual
Distinguished Educator Award, she not only leads great assemblies, but also has amazing care and understanding of your child's learning. This award, funded through the
School Fund Drive, will allow her to study the stories and places of
Saints Bernadette and
Therese of the Little Flower and bring this new learning back to our campus to expand all of our understanding of devotion and miracles. Congrats to Mrs. Wilson and we look forward to your summer travels and what this brings us next year!
From learning of veterans, to math, to religion, to all those academics talked about at conferences,
thank you for choosing OLG and helping us all grow together!
