Principal's Letter
Dear OLG Families,

At our School Mass this morning, our 5th grade student leaders reminded us of the call to deepen our relationships with Christ and each other. We recalled the challenges that many have faced recently with storms and discord, and we prayed for peace and healing. Fr. Jack reminded us all that our call does not mean we are expected to be perfect, but that we can always keep in mind the "next best thing" we can do in any situation.

One situation we faced this week at OLG is a notification of head lice from one of our families. The affected student was treated before returning to campus, and all students in that class and EDC were provided a printed letter. I felt all school families might want this information as well, so here is the head lice letter that went home this afternoon.

Tomorrow, Friday 10/26, is a half-day for students as our staff will be reviewing MAPs and other assessment data in preparation for Fall Conferences. EDC is available tomorrow for K-8 students (signups here). Speaking of Fall Conferences, this year we are utilizing signupgenius for conference singups with your homeroom teachers. 1st thru 8th grade conferences are student led! Please be considerate and allow larger families first shot at coordinating their multiple-child signups.
ELC conferences (Preschool & PreK):
K-8 Conferences:
Contact your teacher directly if you need more time than one slot provides, or if you must meet outside of the scheduled conference days & times (November 8th & 9th).  Again, single child families, please wait till Sunday, 10/28, to access these signups so that larger families have an opportunity to coordinate their multiple-child signups.

Looking forward to a very fun Carnival this weekend!
Yours in Christ,

Anton Kramer

Also, please PUT NAMES IN EVERYTHING! We are already accumulating quite a pile of LOST clothing and accessories! Something missing? Check our LOST & FOUND at the office. Thank you!
