Halloween fun!
Principal's Letter
Dear OLG Families,

Here we are at the end of October and although we may be mourning the loss of many things, we have opportunities for something new to sprout in place. From our Day Camp and Kindergarten & Preschool "costume parade" taking new shape this year, to zoom costume sharing and many a halloween gift bag getting passed out, we're still honoring the seasons. Many of you haven't seen the entrance display yet in your packet pick-up or conference slots this week, but our Spanish classes have all been studying Dios de la muerta and are building their display there as well.
As we share in the Bread of Life these holidays, I know we are seeking normalcy and fighting the fatigue of COVID protocols. Please remember to stay safe in your celebrations of "All Hallowed Eve". We look forward to celebrating All Saints Day with Sunday Mass live stream and in our 3rd grade all school celebration (Nov 5th). As we set our clocks back this Sunday, and move into more holidays in coming weeks, please consider all of our community in minimizing travels and making safe choices.
Yours in Christ,

Anton Kramer

Our Day of Service Planning Team is meeting Nov 6 from 1-2pm to begin planning for 2021. While COVID has changed many things, it hasn’t stopped the need in our community. In fact, it’s growing every day and we’re looking for ways to creatively respond. If you want to be part of the effort, join us at our meeting to learn more. There are many ways to be involved, both big and small. For more information, contact Karen

Year of the Eucharist
Saturday, Nov 7, 9:30-11:00 am (by Zoom)
The Eucharist is the center of our Catholic faith and yet, especially during COVID-19, it can be difficult for us to keep it at the center of our lives. This year Archbishop Etienne has declared it “The Year of the Eucharist” with the goals of deepening our awareness of Christ’s presence, creating a greater sense of unity around the table of the Lord, and, most importantly, living more fully the Eucharist in our daily lives. Gather with others as to grow in our understanding of Eucharist and how we can open up to the many gifts that it offers us, both individually and as a community.
