Principal's Letter
Dear OLG Families,

What a week! We had an outstanding new event on our calendar last Saturday, the Artwalk. Thank you so much to Veronica, Katina, Kelly, and all the artists who made this event such a classy experience! This Thursday we sent home the first FCE (Family Communication Envelope) of the year. We try to put as much info in our newsletters and online, but sometimes you just need a printed form. This weeks' FCE holds info on...
  • The other new event of this fall, Beer and Brats,
  • Carnival ticket order (also available at olgevents.org)
  • Auction business letter and procurement form
  • Spirit Wear & uniform orders, and
  • Reminder to link your FredMeyers reward card to our school account.
Make sure you check your child's backpack, pull the forms and return any orders as you return the envelope to your homeroom teacher!
Today we have our "Spirit Wear" day (generally first Fridays of each month). Wear OLG Spirit Wear, CYO gear, or simply support one of our local sports team (National Champion Storm anyone?)

This Sunday, October 7th, we celebrate in our parish the thankfulness and blessings of our staff and all educators with Catechetical Sunday and the formal ribbon cutting of our newly renovated ELC & music room! Read on for more events and info below.
Yours in Christ,

Anton Kramer

Family Communication Envelope (FCE)
The FCE will be going home to each family Thursday and Friday (via the youngest student). It contains important paperwork. Please review the paperwork and return completed forms in the FCE. Initial by the date and return the FCE in your child's backpack so we have the FCE to send next time.

Our goal is to use less paper handouts and encourage electronic communications. Most information is available electronically via email, the weekly newsletter, and web site. The FCE will be used on occasion.

Action Alert: Protect Girls’ Access to Education
The Senate Foreign Relations Committee recently passed The Protecting Girls’ Access to Education in Vulnerable Settings Act out of committee and it needs your voice to pass in the Senate! Children who are refugees have witnessed violence and lost homes or loved ones. Most have been out of school for years. Education is essential to building hope for the future and healing trauma. Providing opportunities for education is also one way to reduce children’s risk of being trafficked. Make sure this legislation passes by calling your Senators or using a pre-written, editable action alert.
