IMPACTConnect

Ongoing Events

In an effort to get to know each other on a more personal basis, legacy IMPACT and legacy Syner-G colleagues have been gathering to discuss our common interests in virtual breakout rooms. Some of the topics we discussed were movies, television, food, books, travel, and crafting. We've had so much fun that we'll definitely be making this gathering a regular occurrence!

IMPACT on Health

Ongoing Events

The meditation series led by Keelee continues on a biweekly basis. This is a short virtual gathering meant to refocus the mind and body during the workday.

Making an IMPACT

Past Events

Our annual Backpack Buddies food drive wrapped up in June. We donated a total of 166 pounds of nonperishable food to school children in need in our community. Thank you so much to everyone who donated!

Ongoing Events

We're teaming up with IMPACT on Literacy for a book drive in support of Book Harvest. We'll be collecting new and gently used children's books for young readers. Book Harvest Organizers are especially interested in board books, picture books, Spanish and bilingual books, and books that portray all children, honoring diverse backgrounds, languages, abilities, and perspectives.

Team Feature

We are excited to introduce our Quality Control (QC) team of specialists:

Jen Waters, Euan Griffiths, and Aresenia Cuffee,

under the management of Kelly D'Arezzo.

Kelly D'Arezzo started her career as a project manager in a language services group of a contract research organization. She came to IMPACT (now Syner-G) in 2019 as one of the first members of the Quality Control department. As the department and company grew, Kelly became the QC manager. Kelly's favorite aspect of working at IMPACT is how kind, hardworking, and knowledgeable her colleagues are. She appreciates the opportunity to always be learning something new. Outside of work, Kelly enjoys traveling, going for walks with her two dogs, and spending time with friends and family.

Prior to joining IMPACT (now Syner-G) in November 2019, Jen Waters spent 18 years working in data and project management for coagulation disorders-related studies. The move to QC Specialist at legacy IMPACT was a perfect way to draw on her experience in clinical research while also finally making use of her undergrad degree in writing and editing. She is thrilled to work with such a kind and supportive group of colleagues at a company that provides the opportunity to give back to the community in many different ways.

Euan Griffiths is originally from England and came to the US to pursue a PhD in Comparative Literature at

UNC-Chapel Hill. After completing his doctorate, he worked as an assistant professor at Meredith College. While looking for other possible career opportunities outside of academia, he started work as a project manager in the life sciences industry. Euan came to IMPACT (now Syner-G) in July 2020 and says he has greatly enjoyed the work and company culture. Each day brings a new challenge for him, and he values the close working relationship between the medical writers and quality control specialists.

Aresenia Cuffee joined IMPACT (now Syner-G) as a QC Specialist in May 2021 after most recently working as a Senior Clinical Trials Associate. She has an MS in Clinical Research Adminstration and is currently working on her dissertation to obtain her PhD in Health Services. Aresenia enjoys working at IMPACT because, to her, it feels like a family where everyone is helpful, friendly, and dedicated. Outside of work, Aresenia enjoys going to the beach, traveling, spending time with family, and enjoying her favorite foods.
