Ministry friend,
Wow!! We cannot believe this year is already almost over! What a wonderful year we have had. The Lord has blessed us in so many ways this year and He is doing many new things!

We are always grateful for you all because it is through you that the work of Still Waters can be accomplished.

We look forward to 2019 and serving our clients alongside you!

In His Love,
The Still Waters Team
Sponsor A Day Program

We launched Hope Provider, our Sponsor A Day Program, on October 1. This program allows our donors and those who wish to donate to sponsor a day at Still Waters.

Your contribution of $310/annually or $26/monthly will cover the costs to operate Still Waters for one day. You can choose to sponsor a day that is special to you such as a birthday, anniversary, or sponsor in memory of someone. You can always choose to sponsor more than one day as well!

After your sponsored day, you will receive a sponsor report from us letting you know what occurred in and around the center on the day you chose to sponsor.  You will get to see the impact your donation is making!

You can visit  Friends of Still Waters to get registered and CHOOSE YOUR DAY by selecting Be A Hope Provider!
Update on Elliot
Many of you have followed Elliot on his many health journeys this year.

In October, he had his second brain surgery in one year.  Prior to the surgery he had 158 days straight of seizure activity and we are so excited to share that he is seizure free since his surgery!! God is so good to this sweet little family. We are incredibly proud of the strength is mamma has displayed during this time.

They recently had Christmas photos made as well and we wanted to share a couple of those with you! (More information about these photos and the photographers behind these photos will be announced in our 1st Quarter 2019 Newsletter, so stay tuned!)
Healing Ministries

Walk On Water is a sexual abuse recovery Bible Study / Class that is led by the Bible Study author, Mary LeMay.  There were 7 individuals who completed this class and received healing.

Also, during this program, there were participants who rededicated their life to Jesus Christ; one professed Jesus as her Savior & Lord for the first time.  We praise God for the miraculous work He continues to do within this program!

Below are pictures of the final ceremony which is always such a special time for these participants.

Mary LeMay gave her testimony earlier this year and we want to share that with you, if you have not heard it. We truly hope you are blessed by the work God has done in and through her life... and continues to do!

We would like to take a moment to highlight the opportunity for women to experience freedom from abortion.

Jennifer Cate, one of our Co-Founders, facilitates abortion recovery in the Forney area.  In the 2018 spring and fall classes, she had the privilege of seeing women forgiven and healed from their past abortions.   After walking through their personal healing journey through a life-changing abortion recovery Bible study, these comments were shared by women who went through the 11-week class:
"The major problem I was dealing with before I participated in Forgiven and Set Free was guilt related to my abortion.  I received God's forgiveness, healing, and freedom from bondage in my recovery group."
"I needed help dealing with my decision to end my unborn child's life.  I feel the issues related to my abortion were adequately addressed in the Forgiven and Set Free abortion recovery study, and I received definite healing in these areas.  I felt accepted and encouraged in my recovery group."
The next abortion recovery Bible study begins February 7, 2019 in Forney.   Please email us if you plan on joining this 11-week study, and we will put you in touch with the registration contact.

We are so grateful for all the ways the i am ENOUGH program is impacting students around the world and especially right here in our Kaufman County Schools. We want to share with you what one of our local principals has to say about this program:

"I am elated at the response of our students  in relation to Still Waters  meetings.  The topics discussed are  relevant, engaging, purposeful, and  truly beneficial for our students.   Through Still Waters, our students are exposed to information that can make a difference in   their lives.  This program is a true blessing  and Crandall Middle School is appreciative   for all members of Still Waters."

LD Johnson III, Assistant Principal
Crandall Middle School

Community Engagement

Thank you Robert Dobbs for inviting us to be a Vendor at  Kaufman County Farm Bureau's annual meeting and dinner.  We were honored to be there.

A special thank you to  Brandi Harris (left) and  Stephanie Orton (right) for representing Still Waters.

It takes so many volunteers to do the things that need to be done at Still Waters. There is no way this ministry could function without them!!

We want to thank the following people for their commitment to the ministry of Still Waters and for their contributions, materials, and time.

We asked and you provided. With the help of your contributions, we have been able to take care of 54 angels this year which included clients in our Monday night programs and clients that are seen in the center.

We are truly grateful for your generosity and know that this would not have been possible without you!

Thank you  Vivian Themer for delivering these adorable Blessing Baskets that you and the other ladies of the DKG Teacher Sorority Group made for our teen/young parents. They are absolutely adorable and we greatly appreciate y'all, not only thinking of us during the Christmas season, but also spending the amount of time y'all put into making these!  ❤️

Thank you, too, to the sweet ladies at  Water of Life Lutheran Church for making the Prayer Puppies that were included in these baskets. They are absolutely precious and we are in love with them!!

Thank you Kris Patterson for hosting a very special evening at your home for our teen/young moms.  God used you in an incredible way to minister to these young ladies; in ways you don't even realize!  It will definitely be an evening remembered.

Thank you Debra Beam for the cases of diapers!!  We sincerely appreciate your thoughtfulness and support of Still Waters!

Thank you Amy Brubaker for your incredible and greatly appreciated help with making keepsakes for the i am ENOUGH school program!  Your heart is absolutely precious and beautiful!  We are sincerely grateful for you and all that you do to help us serve within the public schools.  God bless you sweet friend!

Thank you Christy Butler for the gift cards!!  Your ongoing support and partnership with us means so very much.  Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

We are so thankful for their continued support of and service within Still Waters. They are, no doubt, an incredible gift and blessing to all of us at Still Waters! ❤️

Our sweet mamas have BIG hearts and we are so very proud of them!! ❤️

We must give a shout out to  Mt Olive Baptist Church for providing and serving dinner to our teen/young parents this week. Thank you all so much!!!

....& a special thank you to sweet  Helen Baggett , one of our past Chosen participants, for coordinating our meal and serving on Monday night. It melts our hearts seeing you giving back to Still Waters. God bless you sweet friend!! We are so proud of you! ❤️

One week during Thrive, our young moms learned how to make a homemade apple pie... & of course, an extra one was made for everyone to taste!! ❤️

Thank you to Carole Hughes and Barbara Henderson, our Thrive Facilitators, for not only leading this fun life skills workshop, but also decorating to make it an extra fun evening together. Y'all are the best!!!

Making Thanksgiving Treats!

We love our Ignite dads and are very proud of each and every one of them! They love their children and are not afraid to show it.  ❤️

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the local churches and members who have served our Monday night programs from serving dinner, serving in the childcare ministry, leading workshops and all the other ways you have helped!  God bless each and every one of you.

Thank you, too, to every ministry friend who adopted a Christmas angel for our teen/young parents and children.  You made a lot of families happy at the annual Christmas party and words cannot express how much we appreciate each and every one of you.

A special shout out to Chris Dowell for being our special guest.  You were awesome and we sincerely appreciate the love and time you gave to our families!
