City of Belfast Seeks Interested Parties for Community Development Block Grant Assistance

The City of Belfast intends to apply for a $100,000 grant under the state’s Community Development Block Grant Community Enterprise Grant (CE) program. The purpose of the grant application is to capitalize a business façade grant program to support building owners and businesses with exterior improvements, such as windows and doors, handicap access, awnings, repointing, decorative improvements, etc. Assistance may be in the form of grants or loans at the discretion of the community. Funds from this program will allow the City to provide 5 business façade grants of up to $18,000.00 each. Each of these facade grants must be matched in cash from each participating business or property owner.

Interested persons are encouraged to contact Joellyn Warren, Deputy Economic Development Director, at deputyecondev@cityofbelfast.org by April 9th, 2025. The City anticipates a formal request for applications later this year after notification of CE grant funding is made available.
