A WORD FROM HILARY
My prayers remain for the goodness and grace of God to flow into your hearts as we journey toward the cross. Holy Week is upon us beginning next Monday. As I reflect on this Lenten season, first I think of how fast the weeks have passed since our February meeting which was so full of God's Spirit leading us in our worship, discussions and decisions. Second, since Ash Wednesday I have experienced a deeper sense of the practice of "giving up something for Lent" which has given me a greater understanding of the generosity of God's never-ending love given freely to all.
Knowing you all have many responsibilities in the days ahead, I'll be brief with a story: yesterday evening Harry and I were walking up our driveway watching a golden sunset, when a rain shower began falling. We turned around to see a complete rainbow: a full arc and bright array of all the colors. This is the second time since Christmas that we have been blessed with such an experience. I pray you all feel the blessings of our God of love through Good Friday to the Day of Resurrection.

Prayer Concerns and Celebrations
Congratulations go to Rev. Margaret Davis and her husband Ben on the birth of their son, Robert Hale Davis, who was born on April 6, 2017.
Congratulations also go to Rev. Harold Harris on the birth of his grandchild, Jovie Harris, on April 3, 2017.
Please pray for Catherine Warren, former student at the Presbyterian Student Center, Waddel Fellow at Friendship Church, and nursery worker at Oconee Church. She is in Peru this year as a Young Adult Volunteer for the PCUSA and has recently been hospitalized with some health issues. Pray for her recovery and for her to be strong enough to leave the hospital and to return to the US.
Please continue to remember and pray for the members of "Creative Impressions" as they continue their ministry. This group sung at the February Stated Meeting of Presbytery.
Continue to remember Rev. Heahwan Rim, Synod Executive, as he continues his treatment for Leukemia, and as he plans for his upcoming retirement.
We Want to Hear from You!
