On Monday, August 26, t
here will be
no breakfast or lunch services available for students in the Garaventa.
Families should make plans to have students bring a lunch or buy lunch at De La Salle. Food deliveries from families or services like Door Dash are not allowed.

Know Your Department: Religious Studies
Our religious studies course revitalization is part of a larger three year plan to ensure that our faith based curriculum is relevant and actionable for our students. Embedding the charism and spirit of the Sisters of St. Joseph as contemplatives in action who serve the dear neighbor, religious studies content will build each year towards helping develop women of heart, faith, courage and excellence who graduate Carondelet and bring strong values into everything they do.
Updates to the program include:
-
Focus on Catholic Social Teaching and faith in action
-
Spiritual growth through integration of mindfulness practices and social emotional learning
-
Connections of Catholic teaching to their lives and increased opportunities for reflection
Courses
The Religious St
udies Department aims to meet the needs of the student and model what it means to be a loving Gospel-valued human being through the following courses throughout the students' four years at Carondelet:
Frosh Wellness: Mind, Body, Spirit
This course students will develop an understanding and appreciation of the health of mind and body, as well as the Catholic Christian faith tradition. Students will also be introduced to the contemporary mission and charism of the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph.
Christian Living: Who Am I Called To Be?
This course builds on the foundational Frosh Wellness: Mind, Body, Spirit but is a stand-alone yearlong religious studies course focusing on Christian Community, Prayer and Spirituality, and building virtue.
Symbols & Ethics (Junior class will be refreshed for 2020-2021 school year)
