We are excited to share that a new playground is coming to Federal Hill Green!
As part of the ongoing Upgrade Your Play campaign, the department is asking the community for their input on what that playground is going to look like.
Voting is open from Thursday, August 1st to Thursday, August 29th via the Parks Project Portal
Community members are encouraged to review proposed playground plans and renderings and then vote for their favorite design.

Save the Date - Kern Park Opening!
Wednesday, August 21st
5:00 - 6:30 PM
Sims Road Entrance
Join us for the grand opening celebration of Kern Park! A ceremonial ribbon cutting will be head at the Sims Road entrance (parking available at 160 Ivy Drive) and will be followed by a tour of the park. New improvements include trail restoration, new trail system, educational signage and markers, reclaimed green space with pollinator gardens, and more. Kern Park was fully funded by the American Rescue Plan. Learn More

Bristol named Finalist for 2024 National Gold Medal Award for Excellence in Park and Recreation Management | | |
For the third year in a row, Bristol was selected as a finalist for the 2024 National Gold Medal Award for Excellence in Park and Recreation Management! The National Gold Medal Award is administered by the American Academy for Park and Recreation Administration (AARPA), in partnership with the National Recreation and Park Association and is the nation's highest honor for park and recreation agencies. | |

As a finalist, Bristol is recognized as one of the top four agencies in the country serving populations 35,000 - 70,000 and will compete for the Grand Plaque Award to be announced in October at the 2024 NRPA Annual Conference in Atlanta, GA. - Junior - Wednesdays, 4:30 - 5:30 PM
- Adult Novice - Wednesdays, 6:30 - 7:30 PM
Adult Novice, Women Only, and Junior Clinics start at the beginning of each month and meet on the same day and at the same time for each of the 4-one hour sessions. Classes include fundamentals of the set-up, fundamentals of the golf swing, how to play with irons and woods, pitching, sand bunker play, chipping, putting, rules and etiquette, and much more. The Dennis Malone Aquatics Center (DMAC) will be closed for Annual Summer Maintenance Sunday, August 11th through Sunday, August 18th. DMAC will Re-Open on Monday, August 19th.
Please note the upcoming changes to the Dennis Malone Aquatics Center (DMAC) Daily Swim Fees and Memberships. Increases went into effect on July 1st and updated Membership Pricing will be effective beginning September 1, 2024.
