Welcome to Week 5 of your Summer Share. Even though the 4th of July is just around the corner, it's been a little rainy and cold so far this week. We are expecting some more rain (bring your umbrellas to the stops and place a Special Order if you can!), but there will be some more heat, too. You'll see a few more "firsts for the season" in your bags this week, including some tomatoes and blueberries. It's a great picnic bag-- so once the rain lets up, grab a blanket and pack up a basket!

   We would call Chef Adam a meat head, but that's not very nice. But he does make a wicked good burger. Click here to read all about it in his delicious, "How to Make a Great Burger" post online. Better yet, sign up to learn from the master himself at our 2017 Grilling & Burger Class on July 11th
This week's bag--your last bag before all of your 4th of July celebrations!-- has some familiar faces (Romaine lettuce, zucchini, cucumbers, yellow squash, kale & kohlrabi)  as well as some new for the season (a pint of b lueberries, a head of jumbo bok choy & a candy onion.)

The Omnivore Subscribers will all get a pound of our grass-fed ground beef ( perfect for burgers on the grill! ) and the Vegetarians and Vegans will get some black raspberries and potatoes. The Large Subscribers will also get some tomatoes, broccoli, & pork spareribs (Large Veggies will get some Guernsey yogurt and a bunch of beets.)

If you're taking off for the 4th, please register your vacation.

EVENTS
Join Trevor & Adam for a master class on grilling! 

On Tuesday July 11th, Trevor & Adam (Ohio City Provisions) will be firing up the grills on the patio at Banter (7320 Detroit Ave.) This is a great class for those of you totally new to grilling, or seasoned flippers who want to learn some pro tips. Grab a friend, grab a beer in the shop and head out to learn about cooking with fire! 

$30 per person includes instruction, recipe packet & food. Limited to 35 people.

Let's just say that when we got this in from the farm, no one really needed to twist our arm to try it out. Delicious, whole strawberries cooked down with maple syrup?!

This stuff is so good, that you might just eat it with a spoon rather than drizzled all over some Mitchell's Vanilla Ice Cream (although, from experience, we highly recommend that, too.)

We still have some Cod for sale online-- it's from Heidi at the Wild Salmon Co. and it's the perfect last minute dinner: sweet, delicate and flakey, and just like their salmon, this cod is 100% sustainable. 

We have it available by the fillet or by the 10# box.  Pick up a bunch to steam, pan sear or to bake for a quick weeknight dinner!
