Bowie BIC Team Wins $125,000 TEDCO Incubator Challenge Grant

The Maryland Technology Development Corporation (TEDCO) awarded a $125,000 Incubator Challenge grant to a team of innovators in Prince George's County during the TEDCO Entrepreneur Expo in Baltimore October 25.  Led by the Maryland Technology Enterprise Institute (Mtech) at the University of Maryland-College Park, this team will pilot a program in 2018 with its partners, Northrop Grumman, Bowie BIC, Inncuvate Consulting and Prince George's Community College, to accelerate the expansion of Northrup's minority supplier network.

Dempsey Named Top Woman
Veteran Entrepreneur of the Year

The Maryland Women's Business  Center (MWBC) honored Bowie   BIC client Keisha Dempsey, founder of Trinity Empowerment LLC as  the region's top woman veteran entrepreneur  for 2017 at the MWBC  Awards Luncheon in Rockville on October 17, 2017.  Trinity Empowerment is a systems  engineering firm serving the intelligence community and government markets.  Dempsey has been a Bowie BIC  client since 2015.

Long Term Care Management Systems, Inc.

Long Term Care Management Systems, Inc. (LTC), a Health IT and patient managed services company joined the Bowie BIC business accelerator in July 2017. LTC recently launched its web-enabled software which transfers patient health records along with facility availability, clinical and other patient data points  from inpatient facilities, such as medical centers and rehabilitation centers, to assisted living facilities in real time.  L TC software improves long term care, service and support; mitigates transition risk; reduces healthcare costs; and meets CMS, DHMH, and DOA discharge policy standards.
