2022 FMX
Over the past 4 years, I (Elisabeth Mock) have been fortunate to serve on the AAFP Commission on Continuing Professional Development. Partly due to epidemic-accelerated changes in CME, the AAFP is working to comprehensively reorganize their CME portfolio, putting the FMX at the center of the CME universe and offering more virtual, hybrid and enduring products to align with increased uptake for these products over the past three years. With even more emphasis on FMX as the poster-child of AAFP CME products, I decided to try it out again this year.
FMX can seem like a costly product, but every time I jump in and commit to it, I am amazed to be learning in-depth, evidence-based, complicated topics *from fellow family docs!* Aside from the cognitive benefits I gain each time I attend, the psychological and social boost I receive from being in rooms and halls with some of the amazing 117,000 Family Doctors and students who are members of the AAFP are innumerable.
