JUNE | MEN'S HEALTH MONTH
|
|

Men's Health Month
was established to encourage men to schedule regular medical visits. Did you know, on average, men die six years earlier than women across the world?
In addition to healthy diet and exercise, the best way to maintain good health is to schedule an annual physical. Regular check-ups enable your provider to screen, monitor and catch potentially dangerous health conditions early. Screenings may include blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes, weight, and prostate and more
.

Actively supervise children in and around open bodies of water. This includes bathtubs, wading pools, ornamental fish ponds, swimming pools, spas, lakes and the ocean.
An adult should be within arm’s reach to provide active supervision for infants, toddlers and weak swimmers.
Do not rely on swim aids such as water wings, floats or noodles. They are
not
approved life jackets.

Don’t forget to schedule your child’s back to school physical! Annual physicals are an important part of your child's health care. Kids from
preschool through high school should have annual physicals to ensure there are no apparent health problems, especially conditions that could impact learning.
