President's Message

SPREAD THE JOY.  SPREAD THE IMPACT . . . an Exciting 2015 for Impact 100
As I begin my last President's Message - I can't help but reflect on our amazing members - and all that you've done in the past year. By pooling our donations into large transformative grants, Impact 100 members awarded 4 grants for the first time ever in 2015 - investing over $400,000 in our community.  Those contributions will make fresh produce available to families who do not have access to fresh foods (FreeStore Foodbank), help provide assistive devices to individuals living with special needs (May We Help), educate and mentor unemployed young adults so they can gain employment in the construction field (SELF), and provide recreational space for children in the Clifton Heights community (Activities Beyond the Classroom).  Grant Agreement Contracts have been written with each recipient, and our funds are already being put into action!
Since our first grant in 2002, Impact 100 members have invested over $3.2 million in our community.  Everywhere you look, you hear stories and see evidence of the IMPACT our members are having in the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky region.
I'd like to extend a special thanks to the members of the 2015 Board for their outstanding leadership, service, passion and hard work.  They've helped lead our organization to a new level, and they've left a solid foundation for continued growth.
The new 2016 Impact 100 Board has been elected, and it will begin work in January.  We are fortunate to have a wonderful Board of 20 talented, committed women serving the organization.  They include:

Recruiting for the 2016 Impact Year is well underway.  We already have over $300,000 committed - approaching our highest ever total.  Everyone is working hard to get to $500,000 - which would enable us to give five $100,000 grants for the first time ever.  If you can help by bringing a friend or colleague to Impact 100 - there is no better time than now!  Please share the Impact 100 story, bring a friend, and help us reach our goal.  PLEASE help us THRIVE WITH FIVE!!!!
In closing, I'd like to thank the Impact 100 members for the privilege and honor of serving as your President for the past 3.5 years. It's been a joy!  Good Luck to Donna Broderick and the 2016 Board as they begin their work in January.
I look forward to seeing you at a future Impact 100 event - and to working with many of you on the Impact 100 Committees in 2016.

We also offer a half membership for individuals with special circumstances  (e.g. young philanthropists) at $500 /year. All members are volunteers with no requirement to do or attend anything. Be as involved as you like or write a check and enjoy guilt free giving!
