What A Year!

We hope this Newsletter will encourage you in the work of our living God. Thanks to Him, our faith continues to be fueled in this life-giving and life-saving work.

Thank you to every one of you who faithfully serve prayerfully, financially and physically. Together, we are making a difference... one life at a time.

AT THE CENTER

We were blessed to have been able to show appreciation to Lori Hale, a beloved volunteer, who has been serving with Still Waters since 2011.

Lori is a tremendous asset to the ministry. She is a woman of God who is dedicated, all-in, compassionate, strong and courageous. Lori is a true overcomer.

She was a teen mom who not only graduated high school, but also graduated law school... with a baby. That baby boy later graduated as Valedictorian of his high school class and later graduated from Baylor University.

Lori is a true inspiration not only to our clients, but also to us. We are blessed to know her and love watching how the LORD uses her. Over the past 10 years, Lori has served as:

  • Board of Director
  • Client Advocate
  • School Speaker
  • Teen Mom Mentor

Thank you, Lori, for your commitment to Still Waters. We love you and are grateful for you!

2021.Jill.jpg

Please join us in welcoming our newest staff member, Jill Keel. Jill has been serving at Still Waters as a Student Intern for the past 17 months.

She is happily married to her hubby, Brad. They have three awesome sons and two fur babies. She is active in her home church and loves her some Jesus.

This month, she graduated Summa Cum Laude from Texas A&M Commerce with a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work. She is currently preparing to take the State's Licensure Exam.

Jill will serve as our Ministry Services Coordinator. We look forward to expanding our services and having the ability to better serve our community.

We are blown away by the work that God continues to do at Still Waters. Look what took place in 2021:

  • Moved into our own office space
  • Started a new community outreach
  • Hired a full-time Social Worker
  • New Clients increased 55%
  • Pregnancy Tests increased 43%
  • Unborn lives saved increased 133%

Great things are happening and we can't wait to see what the LORD has in store for us in 2022.

Help us begin 2022 strong by giving a year-end donation today! It's not too late. All donations are tax deductible.

Look! I tell you, raise your eyes and observe the fields and see how they are already white for harvesting.

CELEBRATING LIFE

2021.Sonogram.jpg

Look at this little guy! Isn't he adorable??!!

We were so excited to receive this sonogram photo from his mommy. She couldn't believe she could see his sweet little face. This image made her even more excited for his arrival.

Sonograms are a window into a mother's womb. It is a life-saving tool for the unborn.

We are thankful for our partnerships with local physicians and organizations that provide free sonograms to our clients.

This year at Still Waters, we witnessed 133% more babies saved from abortion compared to last year.

That is a miracle and it would not be possible without ministry friends like you!

2021.Sonogram.2.jpg

We had the privilege of attending Focus On The Family's See Life event.

It was an evening to celebrate life and the work of life-affirming organizations like Still Waters. The night included music by Matthew West and powerful testimonies from individuals like Nick Vujicic.

It was a tremendous blessing to be surrounded by so many men and women who believe all life matters, including the unborn.

And... it was extra special for these ladies to be featured on the BIG screen during Matthew West's performance. Woohoo!!

OUR TEEN/YOUNG MOMS

Another Chosen mom graduated!!! It was a fun evening celebrating Tori and the many things she accomplished as a Chosen program participant:

  • Graduated with an Associate's Degree (just a few hours short of getting her Bachelor's)
  • Completed CNA Certification (ranked #1 in class)
  • Attained full-time employment
  • Started a home business
  • Established a savings account
  • Owns her own vehicle
  • Owns her own home

This program would not be possible without our ministry friends like you and TMCI. We would like to take this opportunity not only to thank y'all, but also Robyn Jacobs (our Ministry Programs Coordinator) and Tori's Mentors (Lisa McFarlin and Kris Patterson) for loving her and believing in her. It truly takes a village to serve our teen/young moms and we are grateful for each and every one of you!

Once again... another Chosen graduate smashed the statistics and stereotype of teen pregnancy!!! Congratulations Tori!! We are so proud of you.

It's a Still Waters tradition to teach our teen/young moms the importance of giving back to their community.

Every year, they choose an organization to serve and then collect, package and deliver items to that organization.

This year, they chose to make care packages for the residents of a local nursing home.

We are beyond proud of their hearts and thoroughly enjoyed watching them make a difference in someone else's life.

We had a great night celebrating the birth of Jesus during a Christmas party for our teen/young moms. The night was full of fun, food and fellowship.... and many, many laughs!!

Thank you to cLife Kaufman for allowing us to use your facility AND providing free child care for our moms so they could have a fun night with friends. You all are such a blessing!
