Spring Learn To Swim Registration - Mark your Calendar
Spring Learn to Swim (LTS) registration opens at 12PM on Tuesday, March 18th for Residents and Wednesday, March 19th for Non-Residents.
Spring LTS registration does not begin until Winter LTS has ended and participants have received their level recommendations. Prior to registration, be sure to visit BristolRec.com to review LTS level descriptions or call the pool at (860) 584-3837 to schedule a swim test!

Empower Hour is a free, 8 week social skills group open to Bristol elementary school students in 4th and 5th grade. The program addresses new topics each week, such as self-awareness, impulse control, relationship building, emotion regulation, and responsible decision-making through age-appropriate discussion and activities. Girls With A Purpose is a free support group for Bristol middle school girls. Participants will engage in discussion and activities surrounding topics such as fostering healthy relationships with others, developing a high sense of self-love and self-esteem, the effects of bullying/peer violence, developing healthy routines/habits, and more! Man Up is a confidential support group for young men to discuss issues, receive support, develop new skills, and form positive relationships with peers and mentors. Reminder: Winter Weather Closure Policy -
This is a reminder that when Bristol Public Schools are closed due to weather, the Dennis Malone Aquatics Center (DMAC) is closed and all recreation programs are cancelled for the day. When Bristol Public Schools observe a delayed opening, DMAC will open at noon. When Bristol Public Schools dismiss early due to weather, DMAC will close early and all recreation programs are cancelled for the remainder of the day. Weather closures are posted to the BristolRec.com and all program participants are notified via email and/or phone.

On January 25th we hosted the 6th Annual Community Conversation in partnership with Downtown Live. Touring comedy group 1 Degree of Separation brought dialogue, awareness, and acceptance to those suffering from depression through laughter and vulnerability. See photos

A grant from the Philip E. Rancourt, Jr. Compassion in Action Memorial Fund through the Main Street Community Foundation for $1,125.00 was awarded to the Community Services division. | |
We are extremely grateful to everyone who donated to the 2024 Holiday Gift Giving Program! Together, we were able to provide holiday assistance to over 450 youth living directly in Bristol!
