Chair's Corner

20 days until the Democratic primary and there’s much to do between now and then. CCDP has door hangers to help with canvassing and lit drops. Our Executive Vice-Chair Rep. Juanita Brent even dropped some of them off on the doorsteps of several City/Ward Leaders. To promote voting and help our candidates we encourage everyone to put these door hangers to use. Reach out to your City/Ward Leader, or us, to get involved. And please join one of our Days of Action Sunday March 10th and Saturday March 16th. REGISTER HERE!

Black History Month

This week we highlight George Forbes. Forbes was the first African American President of Cleveland City Council. He was elected to Council in 1961, then elected President of Council in 1973, serving the people of Cleveland until 1989. After Council, he was the President of the Cleveland Chapter of the NAACP and continued his law practice.
