Catholic Schools Week Recap
From celebrating opening Mass to hosting a bake sale, from our faculty vs. students basketball game to welcoming our grandparents, our students enjoyed a week-long celebration of Catholic schools during Catholic Schools Week 2020. One of the highlights was a visit from Sister Catherine Clark, I.H.M. and Sister Mary Catherine, I.H.M. The students enjoyed learning about religious vocations during a Q&A Session with both sisters hosted by Monsignor Pashley.

High School Here We Come
We are so proud of our 8th Grade students who have received scholarships to top high schools including:

  • Neumann-Goretti High School
  • Devon Preparatory High School
  • Merion Mercy Academy
  • The Baldwin School
  • Academy of Notre Dame de Namur

Well done, scholars!

SROL Library Receives Facelift
Led by Dr. Caroline Davis, the library at Saint Rose of Lima was beautifully renovated by a team of diligent volunteers. Thanks to a generous donation we were able to purchase new books that would appeal to the students. The shelves were thinned out to make room for current and relevant selections. Dr. Davis decorated the library with tables, chairs, a comfortable sofa, area rugs and fresh paint to create a warm and welcoming feel! The buzz in the renovated library is electric and the students look forward to visiting the library!

Thanks to all who helped make this happen!
SROL Students Prepare for The Wiz, Jr.
About 45 3rd through 8th grade students have been working hard since January to bring the musical play, The Wiz, Jr., to the SROL stage this spring. The annual production of a musical play at SROL is now an eight-year long tradition. M any of the students have been in the plays since they were in third grade and now have leading roles in The Wiz, Jr. Phase II of our renovation will include the building of a new stage!
