SIEDO leaders are working on their strategic direction to set a course to continue driving opportunity to our region. SIEDO has had an amazing run over the last 20+ years and we are looking forward to the next 20. Business Plus is excited to support this great organization!

Our 2022 meeting theme was The Talent Pipeline and how our partners can support businesses in filling jobs. We featured Bringing Students into the Talent Pipeline with the Students-to-Registered Apprenticeship-Programs (STRAP), College to Career with CSI's Workforce Development, Idaho Department of Labor, and Jerome Chamber's Student Leadership, U.S. Congressman Mike Simpson speaking about the challenges with immigration, and Lightcast's Data Analyst Nathan Foss with insight in Filling the Gap in the Talent Pipeline. Downtown Wheelhouse Open House

Wednesday, January 18th 4:00 - 7:00 p.m.

Desert Creative Group, and the South Central Small Business Development Center (SBDC) have joined forces create a community for entrepreneurs in the early stages of their startups.

Downtown Wheelhouse located at 164 Main Ave N in Twin Falls above Mi Tierra, is a multi-use space offering business literacy training workshops and will house entrepreneurs incubating their startups to become launch-ready. During their incubation cycle, these businesses will receive mentorship, training, and a wide range of professional services to fine-tune their strategy, product, business model, branding, and investor pitch. The South Central SBDC office will provide support through access to their existing business services and highly-qualified trainers. Welcome entrepreneurs!

The Idaho Department of Labor's Event Calendar includes upcoming workshops and hiring events. Information is searchable and can filter for Southern Idaho.
