This month, meet Barbara Hoey, Director of Processing Operations.

Barbara joined Fello in late 2025 and leads the accounting, payroll, and financial reporting teams for Self-Directed Services.

Barbara has 15 years of experience in Payroll and Human Resources.

Mileage Reimbursement

Your employees may be able to get paid mileage.

Rules Your Employees Must Follow

Your employees can only get mileage reimbursement if ALL these things are true:

• Your budget has money to pay for mileage for the service being provided.
• You are in the car with your employee while they are driving.
• Your employee provides the service in your community. Community means the places where you live, work, shop, and spend time regularly.
• Driving is not the only thing your employee does during their whole shift.
• Your employee fills out a new mileage form every month in which they drive you somewhere related to your services. They cannot copy or reuse old forms from past months.
• Fello has a copy of your employee's current driver's license and proof of car insurance for the vehicle being used.

Vendor Tax Forms

Fello will send 1099 forms to eligible vendors by the tax filing deadline of February 2, 2026.

A vendor will receive a 1099 if they:

• Earned $600 or more in 2025, and
• Provided direct services during the year.

Vendors will not receive a 1099 if they are:

• An S corporation,
• A C corporation, or
• A nonprofit organization.

If a vendor's tax classification changed during the year, please have them send an updated Form W-9 to our compliance team at  SDSvendorcompliance@fello.org.

Vendors should log in to Bill.com to check and update their mailing address and profile name. This helps us send their 1099 to the right place.
