From Rev. Matt Rich, pastor of Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church in Augusta.
As authors are encouraged to do these days, I want to let you know, as one of my colleagues and friends, that I was asked to write the 2018 Lent Bible Study for The Thoughtful Christian.  If you, a Sunday School class, or your congregation is looking for a Six Week Bible Study for Lent this year, I'd encourage you to check it out.
In two different congregations we have taken the entire season of Lent to focus on Holy Week as I've found it is so easy for many to skip straight from Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday without reflecting on the significant events in between.  Those experiences, sermons, and lessons formed the basis for this study:
Reflecting on Holy Week with the Gospel of Mark
Spend the entire season of Lent with Jesus in Jerusalem.

There is a small cost.  Please click on the link below for information:
Thanks for taking a look and I pray that your Lenten preparations of Easter will bring you to the empty tomb in expectation of great joy!
Beginning February 16, Dr. Walter Brueggemann will address The Prophetic Imagination in the 21st Century. Brueggemann is professor emeritus of Old Testament at Columbia Theological Seminary and one of the most prolific and influential Bible interpreters of our time.
This is an open invitation - please invite friends, colleagues and your community! Please see attached flyer. The events are free and we ask that you RSVP through the link on the flyer or through our website at http://www.trinityatlanta.org
