Chair's Corner

Today, Republicans are showing us who they are in Washington and in Columbus. And they’re Ridiculous.

In D.C. $3.4 trillion is being added to our debt which we’ll have to pay for with higher interest payments on everything. Also, 12 million Americans will lose their health care.

12 million which by the way is roughly the population of Ohio where our new budget hands billionaires the same tax rate as we have and the billionaire owners of the Browns, who got their money handed to them to begin with, get $600 million from the state that could’ve instead gone to the residents of a state that is 45th in employment, 37th in per capita income, and 44th in health outcomes.

There's now way the rest of us are ever going to get ahead. Democrats need to start campaigning today on new ideals like eliminating income taxes and medical debt for all Americans earning less than $200,000 a year. Democrats in Cleveland DID the latter by the way.

So when you wonder why you have to drive an hour to take your kid to a doctor. When you wonder why you can no longer take your family to an NFL game. When you wonder why you can’t afford to get your muffler fixed. Or why you can’t afford a car at all, it’s because of the Republican Party.
