Local elections matter the most. Your mayor, City Council, School Board, and judges have a far greater impact on your life than the president or the Congress.

There are a number of reasons why voting in local elections is vital:

Elected officials listen to people who vote. They give more attention and more resources to areas with higher voter turnout; not surprisingly, the higher the voter turnout, the nicer the streets or parks or schools
The American Medical Association says voting is a social determinant of health: higher rates of voting are tied to higher incomes, better health outcomes, and lower rates of incarcerated people
Voting helps your family and community: It impacts your family’s safety, where parks go, and where your tax dollars go. Voting is also the one time, the one time, we as Americans are all equal, because we each only get one vote. So, the richest main in the world, Elon Musk, and Donald Trump, who both inherited hundreds of millions from their daddies—and if they didn’t they wouldn’t be in charge of Tesla or in the White House. But on Election Day, despite the handouts they got, we are equal to them.

Michael served as Judge Lauren Moore’s Personal Bailiff for 15 years. He played a pivotal role in the daily operations of the courtroom and was a strong presence on the campaign trail, contributing significantly to her campaign and re-election efforts. His hard work, discipline, and dedication helped lead to her election to two consecutive six-year terms with the Cleveland Municipal Court. Most recently, he supported her successful campaign for a six-year term with the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas.
