Please Welcome Our Newest Member,

The Commons!

The Commons is a new, community-led space in Belfast designed for anyone with a calling to bring people together. While it was first imagined to be a hub for professionals and entrepreneurs, it is now taking shape as a vibrant, evolving space where people of all backgrounds can organize, teach, host, and collaborate. They offer flexible rentals by the hour, day, or month, and welcome everything from small meetings and workshops to community gatherings and social events.

Woman-owned and operated, the space is home to two local businesses: On the Flye, a property services company serving the midcoast region, and Lights Out, a statewide non-profit arts organization and design firm. Their goal is to foster a welcoming environment where people can not only gather, but take ownership of their experience, helping shape The Commons into a vibrant cornerstone of opportunity and creativity in the Midcoast.

Arts in the Park ~ June 28 & 29

The Belfast Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to once again bring you one of the most enjoyed and respected fine art and craft events on the Maine coast. The 29th annual Arts in the Park will be held Saturday and Sunday, June 28th & 29th in Steamboat Landing Park on the Belfast waterfront. This is a much beloved summer kickoff event for the region and such a wonderful time to showcase great artisans and talent. In recent years, the event has shifted to highlight only Maine artists, who are plentiful and have so much to offer. The event covers many mediums, including jewelry, painting, pottery, fiber, sculpture, wood, glass, artisan food, personal care products, and more.

Welcome! Bienvenue!

Canada has long been a vital part of Maine’s travel market. For generations, we’ve warmly welcomed Canadian visitors — whether they come for vacations, to see family and friends, or to enjoy shopping and entertainment.

This summer, Maine will be sending an extra message of welcome to our northern neighbors. New roadside signs are being placed across the state to welcome Canadian visitors to Maine, and free poster versions are available to Maine businesses and organizations.

You can help share the welcome by displaying a ‘Bienvenue/Welcome’ poster in your window or lobby, or by placing a yard-sign at your location. It’s a simple way to show visiting Canadians that Maine is thrilled to have them here.

We have small and large signs available for FREE at the Chamber, or...

Your assistance sharing the Bienvenue/Welcome message is greatly appreciated!
