A WORD FROM HILARY
Everyone enjoyed a great, uplifting, and celebratory meeting last month in Monticello. Thank you, Joel Tolbert for a powerful message; and deep appreciation for all who helped plan and all who provided gracious hospitality!
I pray our August meeting will be as full of grace and blessings.
Many disciples from our churches are engaged in mission and outreach across the Presbytery this summer. I ask especially that you join me in praying for all our mission trips including those to St. Simons, Atlanta, Charlotte, Arkansas, Czech Republic, and Guatemala, and for Mielan Barnes as she prepares to leave for Peru as a Young Adult Volunteer.
Pray also for the continuing ministry of the congregation of Central Presbyterian Church who ordained and installed new elders on Pentecost, for Friendship Presbyterian Church who celebrated their 70th anniversary, and for Nacoochee Presbyterian Church who are beginning a new building project. Let's also celebrate with pastors' ordination anniversaries: Ed Rees on his 10th and Mari Turner on her 20th!
We continue to pray for pastor search committees, especially for Gainesville First and Reid Memorial searching for associate pastors and for Clarkesville and Athens First searching for pastor/head of staff.
The Practical Peacemaking Partners (the Lombard Mennonite trained mediators group) is planning to offer another special time at our August Stated Meeting and will be offering regional workshops across the Presbytery. Details will follow.
Remember Tuesday, August 1, is a day for your Church administrative personnel to attend a special gathering planned and hosted by Linda and Anita of Northeast Georgia Presbytery.

We also want to celebrate with Rev. Ed Rees (Saint Andrew), on his 10th anniversary of ordination coming up on June 25th, and Rev. Mari Turner (Dahlonega), on her 20th anniversary of ordination on August 17th.
We. want to hear from you!! Please share your prayer concerns and celebrations by calling the presbytery office at 706-353-2533 or email
