Forward Lawrence Represents The Business Community
Forward Lawrence Chamber and Economic Alliance Chamber Director Lyndsey Overby and Economic Development Specialist Maxwell Frederick recently traveled to Harrisburg to advocate for Lawrence County at both PA Chamber/The Pennsylvania Association of Chamber Professionals (PACP) Day on the Hill and the Allegheny Conference on Community Development Harrisburg Reception.
Maxwell delivered a presentation before the Governor's team, key stakeholders, and local legislators at the Allegheny Conference Reception, highlighting Lawrence County's project wins while making the case for critical needs including funding and utility infrastructure to make sites ready for commercial and residential development. One of Lawrence County's greatest strengths on display: the collaboration among its 26 municipalities and our relationship working with the Commonwealth to gain funding for these projects.
They met with Representatives Marla Brown and Aaron Bernstine, Senator Elder Vogel, and Senator Michele Brooks and their teams.
This year they were joined by New Castle City Administrator Chris Frye and Public Services Coordinator Samantha Richardson, with discussions centering on key projects happening in the City of New Castle including the Whittaker property, the former St. Francis Hospital, and Shenango China.
