Chair's Corner

Republican incompetence, ridiculousness, and downright cruelty continues. Trump laid off nearly all the employees of the Office of Special Education within the Department of Education.

There are nearly 7 and a half million kids in America’s schools with special needs. These are the very people Democrats should be standing up for. Standing up for? Hell, Democrats should be jumping up and down for these children. These are human beings who, through no fault of their own, live their lives with disability. The least we can do is work to make their lives, and the lives of their families, easier.

And that sums up the differences between Democrats and Republicans. We care about the lives of actual human beings, we believe everybody’s life should be easier, and that government exists to help those who need it most.

And as always, the greatest way you can make your voice heard is by voting. One day soon, it will be a member of your family who is forced to fend for themselves. Or it will be a friend or loved one who is rounded up by ICE. And eventually it will be you who is targeted by Republican incompetence and hate. So, please visit boe.cuyahogacounty.gov and make your plan to vote.
