We are seeking nominations for the 32nd Annual Youth and Prevention Leaders Awards!
BPRYCS is teaming up with the Mayor's Office and Bristol Eliminating Substance Use Together to recognize youth who have given exceptional service to the Bristol community. Nominations will be accepted for any Bristol youth and/or youth group that have made a meaningful contribution to their school, a service agency, and/or the community. Nominations accepted for Elementary through High School age youth. Award recipients will be honored in front of friends, family, and neighbors at an annual ceremony held at Muzzy Field in May. We're excited to offer our popular April Vacation Camp again this Spring - enjoy field trips, crafts, group activities and games. Golf Lessons include the fundamentals of the set-up, golf swing, chipping, putting, rules and etiquette, and an introduction to play with irons and woods, pitching, sand bunker play, and much more.

Adult Co-Ed Softball League
The season will run from mid-April through late June. Each team will participate in 8 weeks of regular season, plus a week of playoffs. Each team is guaranteed 16 regular season games (8 doubleheaders) and all teams will make the double-elimination playoffs.

Men’s 18+ Weeknight Softball Leagues
(A and B Divisions)
Season runs the week of April 14th to the week of June 23 (10 weeks of regular season, plus a week of playoffs). Each team is guaranteed 20 games and the top 8 teams (out of 10) make the double-elimination playoffs. Learn More

Season runs April 7th - mid-to-late June. Each team is guaranteed 18 regular season games (9 doubleheaders), and all teams make the playoffs. Learn More

Bristol resident Amaris Estrada selected as Assistant to the Superintendent
Estrada brings a variety of administrative experience to BPRYCS, most recently having worked with Thomaston Savings Bank and Encore Fire Protection where she processed financial transactions, managed accounts, developed clerical documents, and communicated regularly with the public to resolve problems and create positive customer experiences. Bristol resident Raelynne Andrews promoted to Aquatics Supervisor
Raelynne joined the department in 2011 as a lifeguard and water safety instructor. Over the years, Raelynne worked her way up to a Head Lifeguard and most recently to Aquatics Coordinator. As Aquatics Supervisor, Raelynne will oversee the operations of Bristol's year-round indoor pool at the Dennis Malone Aquatics Center and the outdoors pools at Rockwell and Page Park. Read More

2024 All Heart Parks Advocate Award Seeking Nominations!
The Mayor's Office, the Department of Parks, Recreation, Youth & Community Services, and the Board of Park Commissioners will be recognizing a volunteer(s) in the community that has made significant contributions to improving the quality of the Bristol park system. The award recipient will be honored at the 3rd Annual Dinner on the Diamond Fundraiser on May 11, 2024 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM on Muzzy Field. The nomination deadline is 5:00 pm on Friday, March 31, 2023.
