Self-Direction Team Spotlight

This month, we’re proud to spotlight Michelle Nicholas, Budget Manager.  

 

Michelle joined The Arc in September 2022 as the Self-Directed Services Budget Review Manager. In her current role, she leads the Budget Review Team to perform detailed reviews of Budget Sheets and Budget Modifications for accuracy prior to the installation of budgets in FMS Engine.   

  

“Having previously worked directly with self-directing participants as a Coordinator of Community Services, it gives me great satisfaction to know I am continuing to provide support in a new role, working with teams to ensure that their budgets align with their approved Person-Centered Plans,” said Michelle. 

Monthly Webinar Series

Our webinar series covering important topics related to self-direction continues Wednesday, March 19. This month's webinar will cover an overview of vendor and invoice requirements. The information provided will help ensure timely payments of vendor invoices.

Employee Service Codes and Rates

Participants can now view a list of their employees’ service codes and corresponding rates in the Budgets tab of the Participant Dashboard. 

  

Under an annual budget, select “View budget rate records.” A list of the service codes and rates for all employees will appear. 

  

Codes that have been removed at the request of the Participant will appear as end-dated. 

FMS Engine System Maintenance

Please note that FMS Engine (FMSE) system will be down for routine system maintenance from 10:00pm on Wednesday, March 12 until 7:00am on Thursday, March 13. 

  

During this time, Participants and their employees will be unable to access FMSE, including the Evvie App, Evvie Portal, and Participant Dashboard. 

  

Shifts for employees who will be working during this timeframe can be manually entered into the Evvie Portal by the employee or the Participant once access is restored to FMSE. EVV compliance will not be expected during this period. 

Participant Agreement

Effective March 1, DDA has updated the Participant Agreement form. The new form includes a section where Participants can authorize individuals to contact their FMCS provider by phone or email without the Participant being present. If you would like to provide this authorization, please contact your CCS for assistance in completing and submitting a new Participant Agreement.
