Have you visited our new school website yet? There are a lot of cool features and functions! As part of our ongoing updates, we will be having a photographer/videographer in school on Monday, March 6 and Wednesday, March 8 to get photos and videos of our amazing school that we can use on the website and in future social media posts.
We picked a Monday and a Wednesday so that we can highlight both a Uniform day as well as our Unity shirts/Mass day. We are hoping to get great footage that can be used for years to come, so please have your students dressed especially neat on these days!

Earlier this week some of our 6th and 7th grade students had a chance to participate in the CMH Stem Challenge at Catholic Memorial High School!
The event featured over 300 students from 25 schools. Teams were asked to build a bridge that was at least 15 inches long and could hold weight, using the CMH Propel Stem process and concepts. Later, there was a big awards ceremony and we even heard from the mayor of Waukesha. It was an amazing time and some great STEM learning!

Join us on Friday, April 21 for the Annual Parish Auction! Registration Now Open!
Get ready for a night sure to sparkle - registration for the Parish Auction, Denim and Diamonds, is now live! Visit our website to register.
In the meantime, we are still looking for sponsorships and donations for the auction. We have several school parents on the auction committee who will be working to put together some auction baskets and artwork pieces to be bid on at the auction. You can get an idea of what we are looking for in this letter, and some of the specific basket themes we are looking to target are: Book Club, Gardening, Grillers' Delight, Outdoor Adventures, Arts & Crafts, and Local Vendors. If you have items that would fit these themes, please send them our way! You can send your donation items directly to school (please label them Parish Auction, Attn: Amy Schermetzler) with a completed donation form. You can also fill out a sponsorship form here.
Or, do you have something cool you could donate for a live auction item? Maybe you have a boat and we can plan a package involving a boat trip on a local lake. Or do you have a condo or cottage home-away-from-home we could base a live auction package on? If so, we would love to hear from you. You can contact Sue Ruedinger, Debbie Sievert, or Amy Schermetzler here at school with your ideas.
We will also need student volunteers again this year! This counts as service hours for the kids, saves St. Al’s the money we’d otherwise have to pay for adult waitstaff and is a lot of fun!
Students should arrive at 4:30 and will be done between 9:30 and 10:00. Students will assist with table and other set up, as well as serve appetizers to guests during cocktail hour. After that they will work in the dining room, clearing salad plates, serving entrees, bringing coffee carafes to the tables and clearing plates, glasses, silverware, etc. at the end of the meal. We will feed students dinner shortly after arrival.
Student in grades 4-8 are eligible to serve. High schoolers are also welcome. You can sign up your student here.
