Mrs. Sagat Says...

Dear St. Alphonsus Families,

We had an absolutely fabulous Staff Appreciation Week last week, capped off by an amazing Pep Rally at the end of the day on Friday! Thank you so much to our Home & School Association and all of the amazing volunteers & helpers throughout the week who made the week so special for our staff.

More exciting news: On Friday, Mrs. Greco had her baby! A little earlier than expected, but Baby Charlotte Ann and Mrs. Greco are doing wonderful! You can see some pictures (shared with permission) below. Students will continue to have music class this week, through Friday, when Mrs. Greco's maternity leave was scheduled to start. After that, students in grades 4K-5th will be done with music for the year, and our grades 6-8 will still have class with Mrs. Schermetzler who will fill in for those grades for Mrs. Greco. We wish Mrs. Greco all the best in her recovery and hope she enjoys this precious time with her family!

This week Wednesday, May 13 will be our State of the School Presentation at 6:30pm in the Community Room. I hope you will join us for this event. Some light snacks & adult beverages will be served, so please leave the kids at home. We hope to see you there!

A few other reminders this week:

  • Tomorrow is the last day for the 5K Daisies Hygiene Drive! The class who returns the most items by tomorrow will get a pizza party, so send all those last donations in!
  • Mrs. Schermetzler asked me to remind you that she still needs student lectors for this weekend's 4:30pm Mass on Saturday. If you are already going to Mass, why not have your student participate? Find the details and sign up below.
  • We are re-opening our Financial Aid applications, and these will stay open until July 1. If you do not qualify for Choice but could use some assistance with tuition, we encourage you to apply! We want to assist as many families as we can. Find more details below!

Have a great week and I will see you at State of the School on Wednesday.

Best regards,

Mrs. Sagat
Principal

The New Family Committee is Looking for Volunteer Mentor Families!

Help us welcome new families to St. Alphonsus. This is a very low-key commitment and a great way to get your whole family involved at school. We ask mentor families to exchange contact information with new families so they can have someone to contact with questions, and all mentor & new families attend a social event to welcome them to the school in the fall. Your relationship with your mentor family can be as involved as you want it to be!

If interested, please contact Dawn Eisold.

Calling All Room Parents!

First, we’d like to say THANK YOU to all the current room parents for volunteering their time this year to assist teachers and school with various events and activities throughout the year! We appreciate your time!

Now is the time to consider becoming a room parent for the 2026-2027 school year!

Room parents provide valuable assistance to our teachers by being the liaison between the teacher and classroom parents.

If you are interested in being a room parent, please email Dawn Eisold and include your name, email, phone number and your child’s name and grade for 2026-2027 to be put on a list for fall.

Room parents will be contacted in late August. Please let us know if you have any questions and thanks for volunteering
