Dear St. Alphonsus Catholic School Families,
As the month of May marches on, we had another great week at school!
We had our 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade students attend a musical on Thursday, the 4th Grade class went to visit Madison and the state capitol today and tonight is the annual Fun Fair at 5:30!
I know we are all excited and glad that the night of Fun Fair is finally here, but I wanted to thank the group of parents that came together and organized this event this year. I want to particularly thank Dawn Eisold, Peter Klimczak, Jennifer Rekowski, Sheila Quinette, Doug Burgau, DeAnna Rezutek and Julie Bates for all of the hard work over the last few months to plan and put on this great event. Thank you also to anyone and everyone who volunteered to help out and make tonight happen. It truly is a team effort!
Also, last Friday we were able to celebrate our student-athletes at the Athletics Association Banquet. This was a great evening of community and celebrating the work of our student-athletes and coaches throughout the year. A special thanks to the Athletics Association Board members: Joe Krysiak, Pam Krysiak, Don Lichucki, Mandy Lichucki, Rich Romero, Nick Warrichaiet, Amelia Brost and Ben Rezutek. Congratulations on a great athletics season and a great evening!
Finally, when it comes to school safety matters, I like to give families a heads-up. On Monday morning we will be having a school-safety drill. This is not a lock-down drill or an armed intruder drill, but simply a practice of our “HOLD” procedure. I have been working with the Greendale Public Schools and the Greendale Police Department to update some of our school safety procedures and we will be working more with the staff on these updates going into next school year.
Have a safe and enjoyable weekend and I hope to see everyone at Fun Fair tonight!
