Chair's Corner

The unending Republican war in Iran means Ohioans are paying 33% more for gas today while Trump’s tariffs are costing every household about $60 more per month.

So, what do Republicans in Ohio want to do about it? Well, they’ve already cut taxes for the wealthy so that someone making $40,000 a year is paying the same tax rate as someone making $10 million. And now? They want to pass a constitutional amendment about voting, even though those laws are already on the books.

A poll from January of this year shows that only 29% of voters can afford basic expenses without worrying about the cost. The whole goal of Republicans is to make rich, white people richer and keep the Average, Forgotten American down. To do that they lie about fake threats to the Forgotten American. They’re even lying to us about the cost of the Iran war which is closer to at least $40 billion so far.

The party that created Social Security and Medicare, and protects workers by lifting unions and wages, has other ideas. Democrats want to make the wealthy pay their fair share in taxes and spend money on health care, housing and education. Not wars or tariffs.

In order to make sure your voice is heard this November, request a vote-by-mail ballot and end the nonsense.

Please join us as we gather each week from noon to 2:00 pm in front of Tesla Motors, 5180 Mayfield Rd, Lyndhurst.

What began as a protest against Elon Musk when he worked with/for Trump last year has expanded to a protest against the administration's domestic and foreign policies. The Tesla Motors site is a high visibility location for protest because of the number of cars passing by on Saturdays.
