Dear Hospice Supporters,

Thank you to all who were able to attend our AGM on Monday. What I like most about the AGM is that it gives us the opportunity to reflect on where we were a year ago compared with where we are now, and all the forward momentum we have created.

A crucial part of any AGM is electing board members to fill vacancies, and we have been fortunate to be able to fill all positions on the board. Thank you to those who have stepped up to take on this responsibility. Here is your board for the coming year:

Thank you to Crista Whyte for her service to the board as our Treasurer. We wish her well in all she does. As I have reached my term limit, I, too, am leaving the board. It’s been an amazing opportunity for growth and to give something back to our community.

Thank you again for your ongoing support of Four Tides Hospice Society, and of me personally during my six years on the board. Our organization is in great hands as we move forward!

Update from our Executive Director

As she finishes her term as Board President, the team at the hospice office would like to extend our sincere congratulations and appreciation to Cathy Fisher for her incredible contribution to hospice over many years and for her energy and support of our work on the service delivery side. Cathy has been an amazing mentor and has offered us countless hours of support and guidance. Thank you for all you have done Cathy. We look forward to ongoing collaboration with you!

Celebrate a Life Memory Tree

Dec 1- 31 Virtual & In-person

Join us this December for our Celebrate a Life Memory Tree. This is an annual event, offered virtually and in-person, supporting community members to honour loved ones who have died.

Virtual: Participants can submit names and choose an ornament using this form here.

In-Person: The Celebrate a Life Memory Tree will be set up in the Town Center Mall from December 5^th to December 31st. Please come in and add your loved one’s name to the tree and/or create a wooden ornament.

We are looking for volunteers for this event. If you are interested, please email programs@fourtideshospice.org.

Update from our Programs Coordinator

The Caregiver Support Group continues to meet every second Monday at 10:00am at the United Church.

The Grief Walking Group meets the first and last Tuesday of the month at 10:00am at the lower Seawalk parking lot.
