Grounds Work Complete in 2024
We'd like to thank Matt Krieger for stepping into the grounds role this year. Under Matt's direction the Board has completed several projects this year including but not limited to:
- Renewed the landscaping maintenance contract with Meadowbrook through 2027 at 2024 rates. There will be no year-over-year increase as in previous years.
- New tree plantings and debris removal.
- Kept retention pond drain clear by repairing the drain pipe and removing debris, ending the use of herbicide which will promote natural plant growth to present silt blockage of the drain
Street Drains
A reminder for those with street drains in front of your house; please try to keep them clear of leaves in the fall and snow in the winter!
Yard Waste
Please do not blow yard waste into the commons. We've worked very hard on keeping the culvert clear of debris so water continues to flow.
Per www.fgov.com website, yard waste pick up ends the week of December 9 - 13, 2024.
Acceptable yard waste includes leaves, grass, shrub clippings, twigs, and plant materials. There are three options available for yard waste disposal:
- Place yard waste in a trash can (35-gallon size limit) with a yard waste sticker on both sides. Yard waste stickers are available free from City Hall or the DPW.
- Put yard waste in brown paper yard waste bags. Please do not overstuff bags.
- Use a mulching mower and recycle leaves and grass clippings back into the lawn.
