UPCOMING EVENTS

ANNOUNCEMENTS & NEWS

Join us on Saturday, November 29th, as we celebrate our Annual Small Business Saturday in Belfast’s historic downtown. With more than 80 local businesses to explore, it’s the perfect day to find unique gifts while supporting the heart of our community.

When you shop small, you’re supporting friends, family, and neighbors—the entrepreneurs who keep our downtown vibrant year-round. Your purchases help create local jobs, strengthen our economy, and sustain the small businesses that make Belfast such a healthy, thriving place to live. *Make sure to bring your (or pick one up) Downtown Holiday Passport

OTB Annual Holiday Tree Lighting- Saturday, November 29th, at the Post Office Square for the Annual Holiday Tree Lighting. Belfastians will begin gathering around the tree at 4:30. Attendees will enjoy cookies provided by the Waldo County Technical Center. Shortly after dark, Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive on a Belfast Fire Department engine to greet the hundreds of eager children and adults. We will count down from 10 till the tree lights magically come on.

Are you able to help give a child a magical Christmas?...

Hundreds of Waldo County families have requested holiday assistance this year through the Neighbor for Neighbor Coalition, and while they have matched many families with gift "adopters", there are still dozens of families who need assistance to provide their children with gifts this holiday. If you are in a position to help create a bit of magic for a child this Christmas, then please visit one of the Giving Trees or reach out to WCAP directly at (207) 338-4944. Giving Trees are at

>Belfast Center (pictured above) - All gifts are due back December 10th

>The Belfast Co-op- All gifts are due back to the Co-op unwrapped by December 7th.
