TJHS 1st Clothing Store was a HUGE success! It was so fun to watch the families and students shop. We were not sure if anyone would show up so we were AMAZED at the following:

(This is nowhere near accurate as it was impossible to keep up with our documentation but it is a guess...)

We served:

Holiday Helpers needed for TJ's Annual Adopt-a-Family program!

We are looking for some help with TJ's annual Adopt-a-Family program! Holiday Helpers sign up to adopt an entire family, providing gifts for kids in that family who are 18 and younger. The request is that every child will receive one gift under $30 and an article of clothing. You are welcome to provide more if you wish!

Holiday Helpers will be paired with a family and will be responsible for coordinating all gifts for that family. You can do all the gift purchasing yourself or recruit other family/neighbors/friends to help you fill the family's wish list. Mrs. Davis will pair you with a family and send you their wish list via email.

Mental Health and Social/Emotional Tips

Did You Know…?

(en español)

There is one quick and easy way to help your mental health?

Cutting your social media use to 30 minutes a day lowers:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Loneliness
  • FoMO (fear of missing out)

Children and adolescents ESPECIALLY need help with this, as some of their cognitive abilities (such as emotional and behavioral regulation) are not fully developed yet.

To help you regulate specific app time limits for yourself, or a family member, go to:

  • Settings, Screen Time, then App Limits.

Saturday school will go through December 9th. Snacks and drinks included as well as Breakfast Snacks. Please fill out this form by Wednesday if you would like your student to attend. Here is the schedule for Saturday.

Save the Date - Concurrent Enrollment Application Night: December 5

All students and parents/guardians of students taking Concurrent Enrollment/Dual Enrollment (CE/DE) classes in the Spring semester are highly encouraged to attend our Concurrent Enrollment Application Night on Tuesday, December 5 from 6-7 pm in the cafeteria. This night will be the perfect opportunity for families to complete the mandatory paperwork for Spring CE classes (applications and agreement paperwork) and to get important information about CE/DE classes. Representatives from Arapahoe Community College will be available to help with applications and answer any CE-related questions you might have. Students who took CE-PSY 1001 or CE-MAT 1240 in the Fall do not need to attend as your applications from the Fall semester will apply to Spring classes.
