GLSEN Youth Summit 2016
Youth Summit is a FREE day-long event that draws lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and allied youth from all over the Greater Cincinnati area and beyond. With speakers, workshops, and panels on topics from being out at school and work to the biology of sexuality to self-defense, as well as engaging social opportunities, plus lunch and dinner.  The Summit is designed for youth ages 11+, as well as adult allies of LGBTQ youth and those interested in learning more about GLSEN's work for safe schools.
All Youth Summit attendees receive free admission to our Fall Dance Party following the Summit in the NKU Student Union Ballroom.  (Want to perform in the evening's drag show? Email  for information)

The Imperial Sovereign Queen City Court of the Buckeye Empire celebrates 25 years with the Silver Jubilee Coronation! Events begin October 5 and lead to the signature event - Masquerade: A Night with Andrew Lloyd Webber on October 8 th at the Westin Hotel in downtown Cincinnati.

PFLAG Cincinnati - October Meetings  

On Tuesday, October 11, attorney Scott Knox will speak about the many legal challenges still facing the LGBTQ+ community. The Chapter will also hold the annual meeting and election for officers and board members. The meeting is at Mt. Auburn Presbyterian Church at 7pm.

On Wednesday, October 19,  view the 2013 documentary "How We Got Gay". The meeting is at Mt. Washington Presbyterian Church at 7 pm.

Second Tuesday monthly meetings start with a social period at 7:00 pm with the meeting from 7:30 to 9:30. They are held at Mt. Auburn Presbyterian Church, 103 Wm. Howard Taft, Cincinnati 45219 . After announcements, introductions and the program, we break into small groups and share our stories.

Third Wednesday meetings are held from 7 to 9 pm at Mt. Washington Presbyterian Church, 6474 Beechmont Ave, Cincinnati 45230. We start with small groups followed by the program.

At the October 11 meeting at Mt Auburn, we will hold our annual meeting and elections for officers and board members. The current officers and board members are nominated to continue. Michael Cotrell President, Colette Lindemann Vice President, Alynn Rousselle Secretary and Tom Jenkins Treasurer. At large: Steven Bruening, Tony Phillips and Marian Weage. PFLAG Cincinnati is a 501(c)3 organization and not affiliated with any religious or political group. 
Out of the Darkness Walk 
Join with those committed to reducing the suicide rate in the US by 20% by 2025.  When you walk in the Out of the Darkness Walks, you join the effort with hundreds of thousands of people to raise awareness and funds that allow the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) to invest in new research, create educational programs, advocate for public policy, and support survivors of suicide loss.

The Cincinnati Walk is  Sunday October 16th at Sawyer Point Park downtown.  Registration begins at 5pm and the walk kicks off at 6pm.

CINTIT Tournament

It's time for the annual CINTIT Bowling Tournament!  CINTIT (Cincinnati Tri-State Invitational Tournament) in a non profit organization which promotes social and service awareness throughout the Greater Cincinnati/Tri-State region. While the organization is formed through LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender) fellowship, the focus of the organization provides outreach and support for all aspects of our community.   Through fundraising efforts and community service events, CINTIT assists organizations such as Meals on Wheels, Hamilton County SPCA, and The Gay and Lesbian Community Center of Cincinnati.   By holding our tournaments, fundraisers, and events, we attempt to provide fellowship for everyone, regardless of background.  We appreciate the support of our sponsors and look forward to many more years of continued community involvement.

November 3rd - Pay What You Can Preview of Billy Elliott benefiting GLSEN Cincinnati

Looking for a fun night out for your Gay-Straight-Trans Alliance, Employee Resource Group, or all your BFFs? Join GLSEN and Cincinnati Music Theatre on November 3 at the Aronoff Center for a musical about a young boy's inspiring passion for dance. November 4 - 6 - OutReels Cincinnati

What started as the CNKY Scene Film Festival in 2012 is celebrating its 5th year producing an LGBT film festival.  We went back to the roots of LGBT cinema and last year brought back the OutReels Cincinnati title used by the Gay and Lesbian Center of Cincinnati in 2006 and 2007. 
This year films will screen at the Warsaw Federal Incline Theater on November 4th-6th. 

November 18 - Tri-State Leather/Rubber/Pup Contest 2016

The Tri-State Leather/Rubber/Pup contest will be held at The Contemporary Arts Center in downtown Cincinnati, 2 blocks from the host hotel, the Millennium. The annual OINK dance follows immediately after the contest. The contest will begin at 8pm and the dance will begin at 11pm. KINK U will be conducting classes on Saturday afternoon.

Transgender Day of Remembrance is a  day  to memorialize those who have been murdered as a result of transphobia, and to bring attention to the continued violence endured by the transgender  community.
The Greater Cincinnati Transgender Day of Remembrance is Sunday November 20th from 2-6pm. The event will be held at  Northern Kentucky University's Student Union building.  
Transportation will be provided for those in need.  
  The 2016 program will be broken into four parts. 
1- Interfaith Ceremony. 2:15-3:15 
2- Light refreshments 3:00 - 3:30  
3. Main Ceremony (reading of the names / speakers) 3:30-4:30
4. Reception banquet 4:30-6:00 (includes workshops on grieving)

Join Caracole at Findlay Market Friday after thanksgiving 11/25 (9a-4p) and every Saturday (8a-6p) and Sunday (10a-4p) in December until Christmas! We have Fraser firs, scotch pines, and wreaths, and garland.

ISQCCBE Happenings
The Imperial Sovereign Queen City Court of the Buckeye Empire, Inc. (The Court) is a local, Cincinnati-based 501-(c)(3) incorporated non-profit organization. The Court's purpose is to raise fund for contribution to and in support of any and all charitable [minimum 501 (c)(3)] causes. The Court represents the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, questioning, allied communities, and all concerned in support of community functions.
Resource for LGBTQ Youth

GLSEN Greater Cincinnati hosts a weekly Youth Group meeting.  The GLSEN Youth Group is a safe and welcoming space for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning (LGBTQ) youth and their allies to gather. Each week the group explores a topic of interest to middle and high school-aged youth with an emphasis on LGBTQ issues. Youth group also includes weekly social time and a quarterly social outing or activity. GLSEN Youth Group relies on a series of youth generated ground rules to keep our space supportive and positive. We participate in days of action sponsored by GLSEN national and provide opportunities and resources for group members to organize actions in their school community, such as Day of Silence and Ally Week. - Click here for more details.
