COVID-19 Updates, Information & Resources
Alberta Education has provided clarifying information about staying home when sick, and when to return to school. This information is found here and is also outlined in the chart below.
Alberta Health Services has also created a website with information for parents/guardians and families during the re-entry to school:
New Heights has updated our COVID-19 daily screening tool and Re-Entry Plan to reflect these clarifications. Both will be available on our website this week.

Jasmine and Reagan
Our Speech Language Pathologist Jasmine Watt is returning from maternity leave at the end of October. We are excited to have her back!
We are also excited that SLP Reagan VanTeeling, who was covering Jasmine’s maternity leave, will be staying on with us. She will continue being the SLP for Turtle Mountain, Mount Kidd, and Tower Mountain classrooms.
Extra Masks
Due to the generosity of our Parent Advisory Council (PAC), New Heights was able to boost the Alberta Education supply of student masks to ensure we had enough masks, enough sizes, and a greater variety of color/design choices for our students from ECS through high school. Thank you again to our PAC!
Because of the additional masks provided by PAC, we do have a limited number of reusable masks in the small size and regular size still available.
If your student needs an additional mask, please send a note to and let us know.
The masks will be given on a first asked, first served basis until they are gone
